iPad Academy reached another milestone! From Nov. 1 to Dec. 1, Google reports the iPad Academy blog had 50,045 visits. Many thanks to our new and returning visitors for making this blog so popular.

To celebrate this achievement, I’m sharing a list of 70+ apps I created to help show the versatility of the iPad. I made this list as a “starter set” for those new to the iPad. Most of these apps are free. There are apps for adults and children, including apps for work, for learning and just plain fun. Every app has a live link to the app description page to make it easy for you to decide which ones you want. I’m sure you’ll find a few worthy of a spot on your iPad.

Directions for viewing the file:

On your computer, click on the iPad App Starter Set link below to open the PDF. Click on the links in the PDF to get to the app descriptions. If the PDF doesn’t open in your web browser, look in your downloads folder or wherever downloaded files are saved.

On your iPad
Tap on the iPad App Starter Set link below to open the PDF.
The document opens in Safari on your iPad.
Tap once on the document.
Look for the “Open in iBooks” button to appear in the upper right.

Tap the button and the PDF will be added to your iBooks collection on your iPad. From there, you can view the document and go directly to the links. You can also open the PDF file in another app if you wish.
