How to Articles & Directions for Arranging Apps & Folders on the iPad

A reader named Pat recently sent me this question about arranging folders on the iPad screen.

I was wondering, is there anyway to place your folders in specific
places on your iPad screen or will they just automatically fill in
like they are doing now?

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you. I also love the
website.

Thanks for the kind words Pat! You move and rearrange folders the same way you move apps.
However, there can be no empty spaces between apps or folders on iPad screens. An app or folder will be always next to another app or folder. You’ve noticed apps and folders form a grid on the iPad screen. App icons and folder icons will snap to this grid and fill in empty spaces.
