Amazing Apple Museum in Prague, CZ, 470+ Exhibits

second floor

My wife and I recently returned from a trip to the Czech Republic, where we met with a number of educators and did a bit of sightseeing. A true highlight of our trip was a visit to Apple Museum in Prague, an incredible collection of Apple products and a tribute to Steve Jobs. We spent nearly two hours enjoying this celebration of Apple history. (Yes, the “d” in Different was originally lower case in the ad campaign).

Founded in 2015, Apple Museum houses the world’s largest private collection of Apple products open to the public. Located in the heart of Prague, this museum covers Apple history from 1976 to 2012, told through engaging exhibits of devices, artifacts and artwork. Audio and video recordings enhance the experience. An interactive tour guide is available in eight languages to help visitors learn more about the history of Apple devices and the contributions Steve Jobs made to computing and consumer electronics.

I was amazed at the tremendous number (470+) of Apple devices, organized by type and representing nearly every model available. You’ll find computers, peripherals, accessories, iPods, iPhones and iPads. Apple Museum is a complex collection of Apple products and an entertaining retelling of Steve Jobs time at Apple Computer, NeXT and Pixar Animation Studio. I was impressed by the quality of the displays as well as the friendliness of the staff.

While there, you may also want to visit their basement exhibition rooms that date from the 12th century. This underground floor provides a unique venue for artistic exhibitions and cultural events. Pop art dominates the current displays.

You can get a glimpse of what Apple Museum offers at http://www.applemuseum.com/en/about-us or take a virtual tour of select areas of the museum at http://applemuseum360.com for free. You can also take a more complete virtual tour for $3.00. You don’t need to visit Prague to see the collection, though if you can, I highly recommend it!

Apple Museum is not affiliated with Apple Computer Inc. or the estate of Steve Jobs

Thanks for sharing. I’ll have to check out the museum. I live in Prague but the last review I read was rather uncomplimentary, so I never visited.
