iPad Tip: How to Tell Which Apps are Taking Up the Most Memory on Your iPad

Had a question yesterday from a student in my online iPad Academy Master Class. He was curious about the amount of memory shown on my iPad in one of the video lessons and how to tell how much memory various apps were using.

I was showing the memory allocation of a 32 GB iPad (Settings > General > About). The reported Capacity was 29 GB . (I’ll explain more about this difference in an upcoming post). Expansion is not an option, so once you use up the available space you need to delete apps or other content such as music or videos to make room.

To see how much memory each app (and other content) are using, go to
Settings > General > Usage > Storage
It may take a few seconds for the list to appear.
