Fix iBooks After iOS 10 update

A reader named Jamie recently wrote to me about a problem with iBooks and iOS 10.

Subject:
Two-page display in iBooks

Message:
I upgraded my OS to 10.0.2 and lost the 2 page layout in iBooks. How
do I get it back?

So I suggested this:
Look under the settings in upper right (AA) and turn off scrolling view.

Unfortunately, that did not work. So it was time for a more creative solution.
Try just changing the fonts (from original to Palantino for example). Sounds like voodoo but it may work.

Jamie replied:
You’re a genius! It worked!
Thank you very much!

I know. That second suggestion was more crazy than genius. Sometimes the two are not that far apart.
