In
previous posts I’ve written about iPad projects and pilots at U.S. colleges and universities. Not all projects are happening in the U.S. however. The
University of Adelaide in Australia plans to replace traditional undergraduate science textbooks with iPad versions. As a result, all students who enroll in an undergraduate science degree for 2011 will get a free iPad. Print-based science textbooks will be phased out over a period of years and replaced with content on the iPad.
