iPads Shows Promise for Helping Autistic Children

Two recent articles highlight stories and explorations of using iPads to help autistic children. The first is by Ashley Harrell, writing for SF Weekly. She tells  the story of the Rosa family and their autistic son Leo in iHelp for Autism. The second is Helping Autistic Children with iOS Devices by David Winograd of TUAW (The Unofficial Apple Weblog). Winograd briefly describes studies of using the iPad to aid children with autism and describes applications for the iPad and other devices that may be useful.
