148Apps is an app review site that covers the iPhone, iPod touch and now the iPad. 148Apps also sponsors the Best App Ever Awards. The apps are separated into a number of categories, including several applicable to education. Each category has the top app and several other contenders for the top spot. Here are the 2009 award winners. By the way, if you’re wondering about the “148Apps” name, 148 is the total number of applications the original iPhone could hold. With the addition of folders in iOS 4 for the new iPhone, the total number is now 2160.
